Thats what we have been told. Now you need to take steps to cut your electricity usage and hey if you're not doing it to prevent blackouts do it for your own electric bill!
Make sure things are turned off when you leave, every light, television, etc. Does the toaster and microwave really need to be plugged in 24/7? Check the family computer, just because it can be connected to the internet 24 hours a day doesn't mean it has to be!!
